Who I Am & How I Help
Whitney Jennings, LCMHC
Hi, I’m Whitney — therapist, encourager, and the person in your corner when life feels heavy, confusing, or just plain overwhelming. I created Connect Now Counseling with a simple belief: everyone deserves affordable, high-quality mental health care.
I’m warm, down-to-earth, and deeply committed to making therapy feel like a safe, supportive, judgment-free space where you can breathe, rest, and grow. Healing doesn’t have to be stiff or clinical. In fact — it works best when you feel comfortable enough to fully be yourself.
My faith is also an important part of who I am, and for clients who want it, I offer Christian counseling and integrate spiritual principles into the healing process.
Outside the therapy room, I’m a wife, a proud dog mom, and someone who finds joy in exploring new places — especially cruising (it’s my favorite way to unwind and recharge!). I love connecting with my faith, learning, and finding small moments of peace in everyday life. These parts of who I am help me show up with compassion, understanding, and a genuine heart for the people I support.
Why I Started Connect Now Counseling
After years of working in mental health, I’ve seen too many people priced out of the therapy they desperately needed. Long waitlists, high fees, insurance limitations — it all creates barriers for the very people who need support the most.
So I built Connect Now Counseling around this mission:
Make therapy accessible, affordable, and high-quality — all at the same time.
No compromises. No gimmicks. Just genuine care and professional support you can trust.
Because low cost should never, ever mean low quality.
Who I Serve
I work with adults who are navigating:
Stress and burnout
Anxiety and worry
Life changes and transitions
People-pleasing and boundary struggles
Low self-worth
Relationship challenges
Balancing academics and life
Spiritual uncertainty/faith-based stressors
Feeling “stuck” or disconnected from who they want to be
Overwhelm from trying to care for everyone else
If you’ve ever felt overlooked, overworked, or overwhelmed, you’ll find a welcoming space here.
My Approach
I combine practical, evidence-based strategies with genuine connection and real conversation. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way, build tools that work in daily life, and uncover the strengths you already have (yes… you have a lot more than you think). I believe progress happens when you feel supported, understood, and empowered. And we’ll move at your pace.
Therapy with me is:
Collaborative
Compassionate
Tailored to your goals
Sometimes serious, sometimes light — always real
Let’s Get Started
If you’re ready to feel supported, understood, and more like yourself again, I’d love to work with you.
